Road Trip!! Van/Truck/Livestock Trailer

Updated: Oct 17, 2023

This is a brief entry to formally express our gratitude to our generous donors and to the volunteers from Rancho Cotate High School and neighborhood middle schools. They’ve been helping with everything from direct goat care to serving as parking assistants for fundraisers. The photo shows our favorite mother/son volunteer team!

We’re also grateful to the Cotati Chamber of Commerce for hosting their next mixer

beside our goats (Wed, Oct 11). A solid group of committed community members and friends attended our first Happy Hour (Sun, Sep 17), also goat side, and to those who attended and/or donated at our Housewarming/Fundraiser (Sat, Sep 2). Although our donation button stopped working at the Happy Hour event, we’re grateful to have been able to introduce the goats and are hopeful that donations will be forthcoming soon...

Coming Up: Seven additional goats, from a particular lineage: descending directly from the original San Clement Island goats, have been donated to our organization! Now we just need to get them here…

So, we’re organizing a Field Trip: Sat, Nov 18 - Mon, Nov 20: To drive to Toledo, WA,

collect the 7 goats, dismantle their fencing, load up the goats and their equipment, and then drive them home to Cotati, CA.

Please email Kay if you’d like to join us, have a van, truck and/or small livestock trailer you’d consider loaning or donating to help stop the extinction of this precious breed of goats, we'd love to hear from you!

(Cotati Kids Heritage Grazing is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, meaning each and every donation is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law).

Thank you.
